Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at ONE SUSHI. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.
Key Responsibilities- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Store dishes and other kitchen items in a clean and organized manner.
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, adhering to our strict health and safety protocols.
- Record the quantities of food used to ensure accurate inventory management.
- Package take-out food and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet our high culinary standards.
- Stock refrigerators and salad bars with fresh ingredients and supplies.
- Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to the required standards.
- Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Handle and store cleaning products safely and responsibly.
- Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
- Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure they are always in good working condition.
- Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to the required standards.
This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Language and Work ScheduleThe successful candidate will be fluent in English and able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, for up to 40 hours per week.
