About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at BILT RITE WOODWORKING INC. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, reading blueprints, and measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and joining materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials to construct and repair structures
  • Schedule and coordinate work on construction sites
  • Supervise and train other workers as needed
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial structures
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in carpentry or a related field
  • Ability to work in a noisy, dusty, and outdoors environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and work at heights
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced construction environment with minimal supervision. The role requires a high level of physical fitness and the ability to work at heights.
