About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Woodworking Specialist to join our team at BILT RITE WOODWORKING INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in our woodworking projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems
  • Schedule and coordinate work on sites, ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Supervise and mentor other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the building trades
  • Permanent employment with a regular 35-hour workweek
  • Proficiency in English language
Work Environment

As a Woodworking Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings, including noisy and dusty environments. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work at heights. The role requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with minimal supervision.
