Technical Content Developer

At Chantier Davie Canada Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer to join our team. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive technical documentation in line with customer requirements. Your primary focus will be on writing vessel-specific operations and maintenance manuals.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, with advanced skills in Office suite (Word, Excel) and experience with a recognized Planned Maintenance System (PMS). A good working knowledge of vessel operations and maintenance systems is essential, as well as proficiency in English.

The successful candidate will work closely with the commissioning team to sequence and deliver tasks inline with the integrated master schedule. You will also support the ILS Manager in producing material to support crew training and assist in producing all shipboard system commissioning procedures.

A strong understanding of logistics management and maintenance management principles is required. Knowledge of SFI coding, AMOS maintenance software, CCG ABS coding, and Maximo maintenance software is an asset. Seagoing or shipyard experience is also desirable.
