Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients, including independent nursing services and administration of prescribed medical treatments.
  • Collaborate and interact with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge.
  • Work under the general supervision of the Manager of Patient Care to ensure effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program.
  • Certification in IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration.
  • Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent, related experience in the applicable clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
Work Environment

This role requires moderate to heavy physical effort and may involve rotating shifts and weekends. The successful candidate will be required to maintain a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
