Automotive Service Technician

Work Setting: Our workshop environment is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and collaborating with a diverse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service.
- Test and adjust units to specifications.
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
- Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
- Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
- Provides diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
Requirements:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
