About the Role

The Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology seeks a highly skilled Full-time Academic Program Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all facets of the curriculum update process for multiple programs within the Algonquin Centre for Construction Excellence (ACCE).

You will provide impact analyses of changes to the Chair and program coordinators, and follow through with College departments to confirm the validity of the information. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing, monitoring, and analyzing faculty workloads, course loading, timetabling, and registration data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute semester course loading
  • Prepare and update part-time payroll
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual curriculum review process for multiple programs
  • Act as the primary departmental liaison/resource for Technical Standard Safety Authority (TSSA) coordination, including database management and administration of TSSA examinations
  • Ascertain students' progress related to TSSA Certificate of Qualification Applications

Requirements:

  • Minimum three-year diploma/degree in Business Administration or equivalent education (focus in Finance or Accounting preferred)
  • Minimum two years of administrative experience in a post-secondary teaching institution
  • Practical experience working with students and/or student registration
  • Relevant experience in a client-centered environment and experience with database management and/or appropriate application software
  • Experience creating and maintaining formula-driven spreadsheets with the ability to handle large volumes of data and provide detailed reports
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products, with a focus on Excel
  • Ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills
