GardaWorld is a leading security provider seeking a skilled and compassionate Security Guard to join our hospital team. As a first point of contact for patients, families, and staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain transferable skills for future careers in law enforcement, corrections, or for advancement within the security industry. Our hospital guards receive paid, sought-after training and have the ability to move into senior roles directly on site.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate motivation for wanting to work in a hospital setting, practice exceptional customer service at all times, and be physically able to move to and address emergent situations in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of people and property, and maintain order
  • Provide exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors
  • Enforce safety procedures and standards
  • Escort and assist individuals as needed
  • Intervene during emergencies or crises
  • Operate video surveillance equipment
  • Work effectively in stressful and emotional settings

Requirements:

  • A valid Security Guard Licence
  • Previous security experience
  • Experience working with vulnerable populations
  • A clear criminal background
  • Eligibility to work in Canada
  • NVCI or Verbal Intervention Training an asset
