As a Mental Health Clinician with Alberta Health Services, you will be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team at the Community Addiction and Mental Health Clinic (CAMHC) – South Services. In this role, you will provide assessment and targeted time-limited goal-focused therapy for clients with moderate to severe mental health disorders.
Description:As a Mental Health Clinician, you will work collaboratively with other team members to deliver care for the needs of individuals, families, and communities. Your responsibilities will include intake, clinical interviews, and screening of clients with addiction and mental health disorders. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders and participate in program planning, development, and supervision of practicum students.
Required Qualifications:- Completion of a Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment, brief counseling, and crisis intervention.
- Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college.
- Master's Degree in a relevant discipline.
- Training and experience in goal-focused episodic care and the recovery model.
- Basic knowledge of DSM 5, medical co-morbidities, and psychotropic medications.
- Discharge planning experience, including knowledge of Calgary zone addiction and mental health resources.
- NVCI and BLS certifications.
