We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at A.T. Storrs. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for developing and conducting production, inventory, and quality assurance programs.
Key Responsibilities- Production and Quality Assurance: Develop and implement production programs to ensure efficient and effective manufacturing processes. Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data and samples to identify trends and areas for improvement. Use data to inform production decisions and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate production and quality control.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provide support and guidance to newcomers and refugees in their integration into the workforce. Facilitate access to community resources, language training, and skills training as needed.
- Support for Indigenous People: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to Indigenous workers. Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities and organizations to promote cultural competency and awareness.
- Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that promote diversity and inclusion. Offer mentorship programs and diversity training to create a welcoming work environment for visible minorities.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
