About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team at PAYLESS ROOFING INC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing and repairing roofs on various types of buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Estimate costs and materials for roofing projects.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate installation.

Work Environment:

You will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding role that requires bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads. You will also work under pressure to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and lead others.
  • Reliability and dependability.
