Job Description

This role involves providing direct patient care by assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient. You will work collaboratively with other members of the interprofessional care team to ensure comprehensive and person-centered care.

  • Assess patients and collect information from various sources to inform nursing decisions.
  • Makes a nursing diagnosis of the patient's condition and determines whether the condition can be improved or resolved through appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Plans, performs, and evaluates nursing interventions and care.

You will also have the opportunity to participate in research and quality improvement activities, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Nursing from an approved School of Nursing.
  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to assess patients and develop effective nursing plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
