Pedagogical Counsellor

As a Pedagogical Counsellor, you will play a key role in supporting the development and revision of programs and courses at Dawson College. You will work closely with faculty and staff to ensure that our programs are aligned with the College's strategic vision and are of the highest quality.

• Advise and assist program committees and writing committees in the development and revision of programs, including assistance with the interpretation of competencies, development of exit profiles, curriculum mapping, and program grid development.
• Serve on program revision committees and liaise with other college services and managers as required.
• Assist in the writing of program design and revision documents.
• Advise and assist faculty in the implementation of new and revised programs.
• Support the development of course design documents.
• Advise and assist faculty in the evaluation of competency-based DEC and AEC programs.
• Develop and refine documentation related to program revision and course design.
• Prepare documents, templates, and guidelines that faculty can use in curriculum design at the program and course level.
• Participate in processes related to the development, revision, and evaluation of academic policies.
• Animate discussions, organize, present, and lead workshops on competency-based education and curriculum.
• Contribute to the organization and animation of professional development activities for faculty.

• Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of specialization, particularly in education.
• A minimum of 3 years of related experience in a post-secondary educational institution, preferably at the College/Cégep level.
• Experience in the design and coordination of program revision and/or course design.
• Teaching experience at the college level, an asset.
• Demonstrated knowledge of competency-based education and the program approach.
• Experience in curriculum development, preferably in a competency-based educational setting and working with faculty.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with various levels of staff and faculty.
• Ability to work in teams and with groups.
• Advanced oral and written English language skills.
• Intermediate oral and written French language skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
