Job Title: Security Supervisor

At Great Canadian Entertainment, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Supervisor to join our team at River Rock Casino Resort. As a Security Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for our guests and employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide input for team member performance objectives and evaluations
  • Mentor, coach, and train front-line security staff on best practices for the non-gaming record-keeping system
  • Verify security timesheets and monitor, document, and report internal and external violations, unsafe conditions, potential hazards, suspicious persons, and activities
  • Enroll guests in the Self-Exclusion Program and oversee crowd control for special events
  • Administer and maintain critical security systems, including Key Control, WINPAC, SIMS, and Threat Management System
  • Review surveillance files, maintain site surveillance equipment, and report issues
  • Enforce restricted access by unauthorized persons and observe cashier transactions and slot drops
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property, identify risks and conditions that present safety issues, and provide or assist with First Aid
  • Tag and report found property, transfer to Lost and Found, and respond to, resolve, or escalate security issues
  • May escort guests and team members or assign escort duties as required and perform identification checks as needed
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with all operational departments and develop strong working relationships with stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Requirements:
  • Available to work up to 40 hours per week in a variety of shifts, including evenings, graveyards, and weekends
  • Post-secondary education or suitable combination of education and experience
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in gaming security and 1 year supervisory experience
  • Willingness to recertify for Use of Force every 3 years and Occupational First Aid Level 2 asset
  • Ability to understand, speak, and write English and fluency in other languages an asset
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication
  • Serving It Right, Smart Serve, or IGB certification or ability to obtain Serving It Right Certification
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Criminal Record Check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)
