Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic electrocardiographic procedures, stress testing of Nuclear Cardiology patients, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality diagnostic electrocardiographic procedures independently to assist physicians with diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- Conduct stress testing of Nuclear Cardiology patients under the supervision of a physician.
- Provide tracings of patient ECG, blood pressure, and heart rate before and during stress tests.
- Conduct tests in accordance with CSCT and KMH's protocols, policies, and procedures.
- Instruct or aid patients on stress testing and other equipment.
- Apply independent judgment and critical thinking during examinations to ensure all appropriate data is captured.
- Maintain work areas in a clean and orderly condition and ensure examination rooms are properly supplied, equipped, and operational.
- Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order and assist in maintaining a current inventory of routine supplies.
- Maintain continuous professional development in ECG through self-study, including attending courses or seminars.
- 1 year of work experience is an asset.
- Experience in Holter monitor hook-ups, AMBPs, Loops is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office (MS Word and Outlook).
- ACLS is an asset.
