Description:
As a Healthcare Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care and support to patients in various settings, including home, community, and healthcare facilities. You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure safe and quality care while reflecting the shared vision and values of Alberta Health Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal assistance and support to patients with daily living activities
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement care plans
Required Qualifications:
Active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum and are either in their 1st year of practical nursing program or 2nd year of baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program will be considered. Must attest to this compliance and provide proof of qualification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in NZ Rural Facility Living preferred. Experience with Connect Care preferred.
