Job Summary

Partner Staffing is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Municipal Land Development Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in the planning, design, and execution of municipal and land development projects throughout Alberta and Western Canada.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of local Alberta regulations and standards, as well as experience in civil engineering within the land development and municipal infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee the design and development of municipal projects, including subdivisions and private sites.
  • Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and project proposals for civil infrastructure components such as roads, stormwater management, water distribution, and wastewater systems.
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses to ensure the viability of proposed developments.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations, ensuring all deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure project approval and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform construction inspections, site visits, and quality control reviews during the construction phase of projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta or eligible for registration with APEGA (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta).
  • 5+ years of experience in land development, municipal infrastructure, and civil design.
  • Proficient in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, EPANET, and StormCAD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work within tight deadlines.
