Security Manager

Thales Canada is seeking a highly skilled Security Manager to lead our security function and ensure the protection of our assets and personnel. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Security Governance
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with government regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and threat analyses to identify potential security risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage and maintain security clearances for employees and contractors.
- Physical Security
- Develop and implement physical security plans to protect Thales Canada assets and personnel.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Manage and maintain security equipment and systems.
- Security Awareness and Training
- Develop and implement security awareness training programs for employees and contractors.
- Conduct regular security briefings and updates to ensure employees are aware of security policies and procedures.
- Business Continuity Planning
- Develop and implement business continuity plans to ensure the continuity of Thales Canada operations in the event of a security incident or disaster.
- Conduct regular business continuity exercises and drills to test the effectiveness of the plan.
- People Management
- Lead and manage a team of security professionals to ensure the effective implementation of security policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement training programs for security team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to security team members.
- Education
- Diploma or degree in a related field such as business administration, commerce, or security management.
- Experience
- 10+ years of experience in a security management role, preferably in a defense or government industry.
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead and manage a team of security professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
