Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Regency Long Term Care Home in Port Hope, Ontario.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RPN to provide high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a key member of our care team, you will work closely with the Director of Care to enhance the effective management and quality of nursing practice.
Responsibilities:- Provide resident care in accordance with established nursing standards, physicians' orders, and administrative policies.
- Assess residents' health needs and develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Monitor residents' health, note changes in condition, and refer to doctors as necessary.
- Organize and direct functions and activities related to provision of care, including restorative care and palliative care.
- Supervise and evaluate the work of nursing and personal care staff, and participate in in-service education.
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing and healthcare practices, including infection control.
- Effective human relations skills and commitment to working with seniors.
