Key Responsibilities- Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene and dignity are maintained.
- Medication Management: Administer medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accurate and timely administration.
- Meal Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
- Housekeeping and Laundry: Maintain a clean and comfortable living environment for residents, including laundry and housekeeping duties.
- Companionship and Social Interaction: Engage with residents in activities and conversations, promoting social interaction and a sense of community.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.
- Education: College, CEGEP, or equivalent certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years.
- Experience: Previous experience in a care-giving role is an asset.
- Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, and Personal Support Worker Certificate.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.
