Boiler Inspector

We are seeking a highly skilled Boiler Inspector to join our team at the Manitoba Government. As a Boiler Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with requirements specified under various Acts and supporting codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections and investigations to ensure compliance with regulations
- Interpret and apply Acts, regulations, codes, and standards governing the safe installation and operation of boilers and pressure vessels
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate technical information clearly and effectively
- Write inspection and investigation reports
- Exercise judgment and identify solutions to problems
- Manage multiple tasks and priorities with tight deadlines
- 2nd Class Power Engineer in the Province of Manitoba or 3rd Class Power Engineer working towards their 2nd Class with additional training and experience
- Experience in operation, installation, service, maintenance, and/or inspection of boilers and pressure vessels
- Knowledge of procedures for conducting inspections and/or investigation techniques
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications or equivalent software programs
- Certified as an "AI" or "IS" Commission with "B" or "R" endorsements by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors (NBB)
- Certified as a commercial and industrial gas fitter in the Province of Manitoba
