About the Role

GardaWorld is committed to making the world a safer place, and we're seeking a skilled Commercial Security Systems Technician to join our team.

This is a full-time position that requires strong technical expertise and excellent customer service skills. As a Commercial Security Systems Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced commercial security systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct site assessments to determine the most effective installation approach and ensure client requirements are met.
  • Implement security systems, video surveillance, and access control according to design schematics and plans.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, software updates, and hardware updates.
  • Participate in annual ULC inspections for fire monitoring and burglary systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime.
  • Test the functionality of installed systems to ensure they meet internal and external quality and safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships with customers through excellent customer service and educate them on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain accurate records of installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities for each client.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering departments to ensure client satisfaction and quality of service.
  • Manage inventory and ensure all equipment and tools are accounted for and in working condition.
