Job Title: Commercial Security Systems Technician

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Security Systems Technician to join our team at GardaWorld. As a key member of our Corporation Services d'alarmes team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced commercial security systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys to determine the most effective installation approach and ensure all client requirements are met.
  • Implement security systems, video surveillance, and access control according to design schematics and plans.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, software updates, and hardware updates.
  • Participate in annual ULC inspections for both fire monitoring and burglary systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware or software issues both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime.
  • Test the functionality of installed systems to ensure they meet both internal and external quality and safety standards.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and educate them on system operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain meticulous records of installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities for each client.
  • Work closely with sales and engineering departments to ensure client satisfaction and quality of service.
  • Keep track of equipment and tools, ensuring that all items are accounted for and in working condition.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of security systems.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform field work and occasional office work.
