Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Analyst to join our team at the City of Kamloops Planning and Procurement Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and analysis to support the competitive-bid process, negotiating contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, evaluating vendor performance, and acting as a liaison to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise and analysis to support the competitive-bid process
- Negotiate contracts and ensure regulatory compliance
- Evaluate vendor performance and provide recommendations
- Act as a liaison to internal and external clients
Requirements:
- Diploma in a Business-related discipline and SCMP designation, or equivalent
- Minimum three years progressive purchasing experience within a large complex procurement department
