About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Repair Specialist to join our team in Ottawa. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for servicing clients in the Ottawa/Gatineau region and ensuring their Merlo telescopic equipment is in optimal working condition.

Job Responsibilities
  • Determine repairs required over the telephone and on-site using diagnostic methodologies;
  • Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals;
  • Efficiently plan and manage repairs and scheduled maintenance;
  • Complete service documents clearly within the prescribed time;
  • Order parts needed to repair and maintain equipment;
  • Follow procedures for Warranty work and parts crediting;
  • Promote Manulift values to existing and potential clients;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A relevant license (421A, 310T, 310S) is considered an asset;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Experience reading schematics (Electrical and hydraulic);
  • Strong knowledge in hydraulic, electric, and electronic systems;
  • Bilingualism: fluency in French and English both orally and in writing;
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record;
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills;
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills;
  • High level of comfort in using a computer daily;
  • Good organization and time management skills;
  • Results-focused;
  • Customer service-oriented.
