Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at Shabad Transport Inc. as a Freight Transport Professional.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across various routes, including international routes.
  • Ensure all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and unloaded at designated destinations.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of vehicles, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch and relay information regarding cargo, route changes, and any issues encountered during transit.
  • Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Follow regulations and guidelines for transporting hazardous materials, if applicable.
Requirements
  • AZ class license
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and prolonged sitting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations and priorities
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with GPS navigation systems
Salary and Benefits
