About the RoleThis internship offers hands-on engineering experience in front-end frameworks, quality assurance, and automation frameworks. As a Software Development Engineer Intern, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting requirement analysis, designing, and executing test cases based on product design or requirements.
- Improving the product user experience.
- Collaborating with product managers, development engineers, and project managers to resolve problems efficiently.
- Maintaining and optimizing the existing automation framework.
- Assisting in building the interface of the automation framework.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test code.
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Be a current Co-op student or enrolled in a post-secondary program (BS or MS) majoring in computer science, information management, or a related field at a Canada-based college or university.
- Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or have refugee protection given under the law and be legally able to work in Canada according to the laws and regulations of the province or territory where you live.
- Have 1-2 years of Java experience.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Be detail-oriented and intellectually curious.
