About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Water Treatment Plant Operator - Level 3 to join our team at ATCO Frontec. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain water and wastewater treatment equipment, including centrifugal pumps and laboratory equipment.
  • Monitor and control water and wastewater quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and safety.
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum Class 2 wastewater treatment license and Class 3 water treatment license.
  • Currently a registered member in good standing with the Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP).
  • Experience in related field, including plumbing, electrical, and light maintenance duties.
  • Knowledge and experience of laboratory procedures is an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and ability to provide driver's abstract.
  • Certification of WHMIS procedures.
  • Ability to maintain logs as required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel).
