We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Bouwa Whee Catering. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
Key Responsibilities- Preparation and Production: Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.
- Inventory Management: Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
- Baking and Decorating: Bake mixed dough and batters, and frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
- Quality Control: Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
- Housekeeping: Inspect kitchen and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Maintenance and Repair: Operate machinery and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a bakery or related field.
- Language: Fluency in English.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Health Benefits: Dental plan and health care plan.
- Employment Type: Permanent.
