Job Title: Telecommunications Technician

GEOCELLCANADA Inc. is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Telecommunications Technician to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications equipment and systems. The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving skills, be able to work at heights, and have a strong understanding of telecommunications technology.

Responsibilities:
  • Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Diagnose and locate equipment faults, and adjust, replace, or repair telecommunications equipment.
  • Inspect operation of telecommunications equipment.
  • Test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.
  • Determine nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Operate computerized testing systems to conduct service tests on customer lines and equipment.
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures.
  • Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets.
  • Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in telecommunications.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
