Employment Opportunity: Associate Dean, School of Business

Nipissing University, situated on the traditional territory of the Anishnabek, is seeking a visionary leader to fill the role of Associate Dean, School of Business. The School of Business at Nipissing University is renowned for its innovative curriculum and strong faculty support.

The successful candidate will provide strategic academic leadership for all programs in the School of Business, supporting the Dean in achieving academic goals and objectives. The Associate Dean will be committed to Truth and Reconciliation, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, evident in their leadership style, decision-making, and interactions.

The ideal candidate will possess a doctoral degree in Business or a related field, along with at least five years of progressively responsible management experience in a university environment. They will have a record of progressive administrative responsibility, superior analytical, organizational, managerial, and leadership skills, with the ability to see the bigger picture for the long-term benefit of the School and the University.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic academic leadership for all programs in the School of Business
  • Support the Dean in achieving academic goals and objectives
  • Lead the development of innovative research and teaching initiatives
  • Foster partnerships to meet the educational, research, and innovation agenda of the University and the North Bay region
