You will work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality Android applications that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and architect Android applications that meet the needs of our clients
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Develop and maintain technical expertise in Android development
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and technologies
- At least 8 years of experience in Android development
- Proven track record of architecting and designing Android applications
- Strong knowledge of Android frameworks, SDKs, and development tools
- Experience with Kotlin and Java programming languages
- Proficient in designing and building user interfaces with XML layouts or programmatically with ConstraintLayout
- Experience with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries
- Familiarity with Git and version control
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Demonstrated expertise in native Android development
- Proficient in Jetpack Compose, Navigation, and core libraries
- Experience in native Android software development with Kotlin
- Strong coding skills with a proven ability to write clean, effective, well-tested code
- Working knowledge of MVVM, MVP, or other architecture patterns
- Familiar with Android Studio performance tools and optimization techniques
- Familiar with Kotlin Coroutines
- Understanding of Android performance analysis and optimization techniques
- Enthusiasm for Agile methodologies, Pair Programming, and Test Driven Development (TDD)
- Experience working directly with clients
- At least four years of experience with Kotlin
- Complete understanding of the mobile software development lifecycle
- Advanced knowledge of Android Studio, Git, Jenkins, and Charles
- Type of job: Temporary Contractor – 1 year
- Location: Montreal, Ontario
- Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hour week
