The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Medical Office Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for patients and will be responsible for providing an outstanding service experience.
Key Accountabilities:- Meet and achieve KPIs and performance goals, ensuring tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Provide exceptional patient care, responding to patient inquiries and phone calls, and facilitating patient flow.
- Execute bookings for KMH services, optimize clinic capacity, and communicate appointment details and reschedules.
- Build and develop relationships with patients, physician offices, and other healthcare facilities.
- Respond to high-volume inbound and outbound calls promptly.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all required forms and documentation are completed per protocols.
- Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of patient health information.
- Minimum 1 year of medical office experience in a similar role.
- Cardiology clinic experience is an asset.
- Medical office administration diploma.
- Ability to work proficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including a good telephone manner.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology.
- Proficiency in technology, including MS Office and EMR systems experience.
- Good time management and organization skills.
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of privacy and diplomacy.

We are a progressive organization with a team passionate about healthcare. Our team is comprised of clinical, clinical support, and business roles with an entrepreneurial approach. We take pride in our patient-focused environment and work closely with other service and clinical teams at KMH. This role has extensive face-to-face patient interaction.
