Job Opportunity: Tax Manager

Baker Tilly REO LLP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to contribute to our team's success.

About the Role

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for leading tax engagements, providing guidance and support to staff, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage tax engagements, including personal tax, review, and compilation engagements
  • Provide daily guidance and support to staff on tax matters and ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional client service
  • Research and prepare tax memoranda, participate in special tax engagements, and provide client tax planning services
  • Prepare and present technical sessions to staff and provide personal, attentive service to clients
Requirements
  • Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE)
  • Successful completion of/or in the process of completing the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and/or Master of Taxation Course
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience with a tax specialty
  • Robust technical knowledge of Canadian tax-related issues and GAAP requirements for tax provisions
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management, and organizational skills
