Senior Tax Accountant Opportunity

Baker Tilly REO LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution and completion of complex tax returns
  • Review of a wide range of personal tax returns and simple corporate tax returns
  • Manage tax activities in connection with non-tax files
  • Work with Tax Partners and senior tax staff to develop and implement tax planning services
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion
  • Preparation and presentation of technical sessions to firm staff
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients

Requirements:

  • Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE)
  • Intention to enroll and complete the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and/or Master of Taxation Course
  • 3 – 5 years of accounting experience, tax experience considered an asset
  • High proficiency in MS Office, Caseware/Caseview, TaxPrep, and tax research software
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions
  • Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
