Job Overview

$120,000 - $180,000 per year. We're looking for a skilled High-Performance Risk Modeling Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing our next generation high-performance risk modeling platform.

Responsibilities

  1. Take a leading role in developing our next generation high-performance risk modeling platform.
  2. Develop and utilize object models and protocols for platform-wide communication and data storage.
  3. Design algorithms for efficient use of computing, memory, and networking resources.
  4. Work with our Software Architect and Product Owner to ensure that features are delivered on time, and in a manner consistent with our existing platform.
  5. Actively participate in improving our processes.
  6. Share your unique expertise with the rest of the team.
  7. Continuously strive to improve your knowledge and skillset.

Requirements

  • A strong background in computer science (BSc, MSc, Ph.D.)
  • 5-10 years of demonstrable experience in three or more of the following areas: Python and/or C++, Cloud Computing (AWS), Distributed systems, API Design, Data Engineering.
  • An interest/experience in one of the following will be an asset: DevOps, Julia, Actuarial Science, Financial Modeling, Security and compliance.
