Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fitness Centre Operations Coordinator to join our team at Georgian College. As a key member of our Athletics and Fitness Centre team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, leading fitness classes, and ensuring the smooth operation of our fitness centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fitness centre orientations and general fitness guidance to members
  • Assist with fitness classes, including athletic conditioning classes
  • Lead contact for orientations for members of the Fitness Centre
  • Review and provide direction regarding the Get Active Questionnaire
  • Secure and arrange back-up coverage for group fitness or personal trainers
  • Ensure fitness centre coverage by arranging back-up coverage for student staff
  • Provide guidance to student staff to ensure safety within the fitness centre
  • Conduct Fitness classes, including athletic conditioning classes
  • Assist with Fitness Social Media posts and online content
  • Assist with special projects and fitness programming
Requirements
  • Two-year postsecondary diploma in a related field
  • Relevant current personal training and group fitness certifications
  • First Aid Certificate, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certification
  • 6 months' experience as a fitness instructor
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours
