**Job Summary**

The Senior Radiology Technologist will play a key role in the operation of the Diagnostic Imaging department at Shared Health. This position requires a high level of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in the general operation of the department, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Perform routine and emergency Diagnostic Imaging procedures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs to ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical imaging technologies and techniques, applying this knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

**Requirements**

  • Minimum three years of recent related work experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Graduate of an approved Medical Radiography program with certification by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Completion of courses in Cross Sectional Anatomy and/or Computed Tomography as required.
  • Active registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

**Working Conditions**

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high level of patient contact.
  • May be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift and move equipment as required.
