Senior Database Administrator

At insightsoftware, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our database infrastructure to support our growing customer base.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
- Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases
- Provide database administration services to application development, professional services, and support teams
- Research and evaluate new database software and tools to improve our infrastructure
- Manage database backup and recovery processes
- Create automation scripts using Bash and PowerShell to streamline database operations
- Implement technical controls to support and enforce security policies
- Participate in SOC2/ISO27001 audits and ensure compliance
- Provide 24/7 on-call rotational duty and support
Requirements:
- 7+ years of hands-on experience as a MS SQL Administrator
- 3+ years of experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Strong knowledge of database management, performance monitoring, and performance tuning tools
- Knowledge of Linux system administration and Bash scripting
- Experience with MS Azure Cloud, PowerShell scripting, and Azure SQL is a plus
