Warehouse Operations and Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Operations Maintenance Manager to join our North American team. This role offers a unique opportunity to bring world-class innovation and technologies to the e-commerce market.
Responsibilities- Reporting to the Regional Engineering Operations Manager, you will lead a site with a team of technicians and engineers across various shifts.
- The initial focus will be on delivering operational excellence across every shift, driving the department towards a right-first-time culture.
- This involves setting up the site, training and developing the team, and providing support to the Installation & Commissioning Team.
The position will be based at our Montreal East, QC Distribution Center, working closely with Inbound, Outbound, and other support teams to optimize availability and performance of the facility and its MHE automation.
Key Performance Areas- Champion safe working practices and promote a safe work culture.
- Set, achieve, and exceed agreed engineering KPIs and SLAs, including fault reduction and elimination.
- Perform daily direct personnel management responsibilities, including performance management, development, and training of the team.
- Lead a proactive customer-focused culture.
- Drive and support change initiatives for MHE equipment and process improvement.
- Build collaborative relationships with key customers and maintain robust communication links.
- Manage operational costs effectively.
- A minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in electrical and/or mechanical roles.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a management or supervisory level within an automated environment.
- A bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field of study, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of production, picking, and storage MHE systems, gained from experience in an automated environment.
- Proficient in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French.
