We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Fraser Health. As a key member of our interprofessional care team, you will provide speech language pathology services to patients in accordance with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC) standards of practice and Fraser Health's mission and values.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patients' communication and swallowing abilities, developing evidence-based treatment plans to achieve optimal health outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Provide education and consultation to patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals on communication and swallowing strategies.
- Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, documenting progress and treatment outcomes.
- Current registration with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHBC).
- Knowledge of speech language pathology theory and practice, including communication and swallowing assessment and treatment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
