Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Transportation Operations Supervisor to join our team at Canada Inc. as a key member in the transportation department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of our truck fleet, ensuring that all activities are carried out safely and efficiently. This includes supervising workers, coordinating repairs and rentals, and monitoring production and reports.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all employees.
  • Fleet Management: Supervise the maintenance and repair of trucks, as well as coordinate with vendors for rental equipment and services.
  • Operations Coordination: Schedule activities, manage workload, and allocate tasks to team members.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize efficiency.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Key Qualifications:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Proven experience in a transportation or logistics environment, preferably in a supervisory role.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide team members towards achieving goals.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
