Project Support Role in Civil Engineering



We are seeking a highly motivated Civil Engineering student to join our team in a Project Support role. As a Structural Co-op Student, you will gain hands-on experience supporting structural engineering projects under the guidance of intermediate and senior engineers.



This role offers exposure to various phases of industrial projects, including buildings, equipment foundations, pipe racks, retaining walls, and pipe supports.

Responsibilities:




  • You will assist in all project stages, including cost estimation, preliminary design, detailed design, and construction review, providing essential support to engineering leads.
  • You will prepare design calculations, drawings, and specifications for projects, applying core structural engineering principles.
  • You will collaborate with structural engineers, designers, and other engineering disciplines to contribute to overall project success.
  • You will learn to apply Canadian building and design codes, ensuring technical compliance.


Requirements:




  • You are currently enrolled in a civil or structural engineering program.
  • You have knowledge of structural 3D modeling and analysis software, such as RISA-3D, SAP2000, and SAFE.
  • You are familiar with Revit and AutoCAD.
  • You possess good knowledge of Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
  • You have good organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) in English.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
