We are seeking a highly skilled Analyst (Health & Benefits) to join our Vancouver Office. As a member of our Health and Group Benefits division, you will provide management of the financial analysis for complex and larger clients.

The Business

Our Health and Group Benefits division provides a full range of consulting services to large, mid-size, and small clients. These services include creative plan design, vendor evaluation and management, pricing and funding strategies, compliance and governance strategies, due diligence of group health plans, benchmarking analysis, redesign of group benefits plans, assistance for global clients with Canadian operations, and acting as an intermediary between clients and insurers.

Your Day as an Analyst

As an analyst, you will work directly with our senior analysts and consultants on various projects for medium and large size clients. Your responsibilities will include understanding various insurance products and services, establishing relationships with colleagues, external partners, and client teams, reviewing insurance contracts, benefits booklets, and collective bargaining agreements, preparing technical and financial analysis, and drafting reports and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Finance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or related field
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills, with a strong command of Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
