Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Tech Ed teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technology education, with a focus on secondary school curriculum. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt and modify materials to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners, and will have a strong commitment to continuing professional development.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technology education curriculum for secondary school students
  • Adapt and modify materials to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners
  • Use computing technology to support learning and instruction
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures in the shop/lab environment
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements
  • Valid BC Teaching Certificate
  • BCIT Technology Education Teacher Certification or equivalent training and qualifications
  • Two years successful experience teaching Tech Ed at the secondary school level
  • Thorough knowledge of the Tech Ed curriculum
  • Familiarity with WHMIS, MSDS, and appropriate health and safety regulations in a shop/lab environment
