About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to join our team as a Construction Assistant at Nehru Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for assisting in various aspects of construction, including loading and unloading materials, erecting scaffolding, and performing routine maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as concrete and asphalt, from trucks and equipment.
  • Erecting Scaffolding: Help to erect and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, and catwalks to ensure safe access to construction sites.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Site Support: Assist in drilling and blasting rock on construction sites, and help to remove rubble and debris.
  • Traffic Control: Direct traffic at or near construction sites to ensure the safety of workers and the general public.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding role requiring repetitive tasks.
