Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide nursing care to patients in a long-term care facility. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Conduct vital sign assessments and document patient information
- Provide wound care and dressing changes
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and team meetings
- Monitor and report any changes in patient condition to the RN
- Current LPN licensure in the province/territory of work
- Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination
- CPR Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- Geriatric nursing experience an asset
