About the Role

The Legal Editor - Content Specialist will play a crucial role in creating and classifying legal information, ensuring accuracy and quality in editorial materials.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of legal concepts and terminology.
  • Review and edit legal information created by others, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Identify key legal issues and provide expert analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure editorial publishing schedules and quality standards are met.
  • Consult with multiple departments to provide business insights and expertise.
  • Verify own work and that of colleagues and external contributors for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Maintain and develop legal knowledge and skills training to stay current on legal trends and developments.
  • Participate in employee evaluation processes and provide feedback.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A JD degree and admission to a provincial bar.
  • Strong legal research skills with experience using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously in a quickly changing environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including applications such as Adobe and Microsoft Office.
