Job Title: Writer/Editor

Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP is a leading business law firm with a strong commitment to innovation and excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Writer/Editor to join our team and contribute to the development of engaging content that showcases our expertise and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and edit content to support Osler's marketing and communication objectives, working closely with practice groups to promote the Firm's expertise online and in print.
  • Write and edit general content for osler.com, as well as other client-focused materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Osler's writing style guidelines.
  • Manage new content postings on osler.com, working directly with law firm partners to edit and publish long-form thought leadership articles and blog posts.
  • Collaborate with the translation department to ensure French language content is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Proofread content for accuracy and consistency, maintaining records and files of work and revisions.
  • Ensure proper tagging and cross-promotion of content on osler.com, and post content to the website using WordPress.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Communications, Journalism, or English, plus a minimum of three years' related copy editing and content creation experience, preferably in a professional services firm.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with superior attention to accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience writing engaging copy for social media, with a strong understanding of online content strategies.
  • Critical and strategic thinking skills, with an aptitude for problem-solving and project management.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and knowledge of WordPress, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
