Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, maintain, and repair plumbing fixtures and systems, including pipes, fittings, and appliances.
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems and identify potential issues.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Estimate costs and materials.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines.
  • Physically demanding, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Requirements:
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plumbing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
